No one will ever be the next Sidney Crosby. I really think that when Crosby retires, that fans of this league will feel an unexpected and massive void in their hearts. There are things to be excited about, thats for sure. Lots of amazing plays, goals, points totals etc. But not having Sid in the league will be like removing the heart of the league. People will finally see just how important he is to the game. They will understand how they took his presence for granted all these years. Connor Bedard is entering the league with someone better than he will ever be. And thats Connor Mcdavid. He will never top the league like Sid. He will always be #2 if all goes well.
But none of them, no matter the points totals, stats, wins will supplant Crosby for what he did for the game.

Sidney Crosby is an incredible player. He totally made me want to watch NHL hockey. He is so humble and is a great and generous guy as well.
