It really pains me to see such a talent young hockey player get injured so soon in his career. It seems like these days the most commonly injured players are the extremely skilled ones. its so sad that the NHL stars and future stars are almost always injured… These are the guys that should be selling seats… Not sitting in them. It's not like that another sports
Cherry …recently says it was deliberate. Out of respect for McDavid , he was double teamed. So if you double team a player at that position on the ice , the odds say if you are tripped , you are going to hit the boards with No control. I can see how Cherry made the call.
I can no longer respect the opinion of anyone who thinks this was deliberate. And to anyone (Don Cherry) way says they intentionally took him to the boards yeah no shit, it's called playing defense
Hate to say it, but that's karma for the hit from behind that sent Oduya head first into the boards a few games ago. He could have gotten the same injury. I do hope McDavid heals up, but there's no place in this league for plays like that. Maybe this will make him realize what he could have done.
If his head was in a different position he could have died or at least been paralyzed. Thank god he only broke his collar bone. I've said it before and I'll say it again, he needs to be careful with his speed. It's a blessing and a curse to be that fast. Boards are a real thing and so are open ice hits.

Manning grabbed His hip and spun Him down but the idiots NHL leage and media cannot see this crap.
I really hope he can get back into it, I wanted him to do well this season
He clearly blow a tire. There's no malice intent by the flyers. Even the flyer ask if he was alright.

Better the clavicle over a knee or serious concussion issue

Damn it! I just got a MCDAVID jersey 😖😱😭
That is the most casual expression I ever seen from anyone with a broken collarbone
I know how Connor feels I broke my collar bone to
he didnt fucking get tripped dumbasses he lost a fucking edge for crying out loud. fucking crybaby fuck oilers.
Rookie Sissy Crysby would have layed in the ice for the gurney.
Thank you for everyone that liked this. This guy is pathetic
is it just me or does he say "i think i broke it" at 0:12?
Tripped, hooked and driven head first into the boards. American refs didn't see anything, as usual.
best moment of the season
