After an 0-2 start, the Oilers travel to Nashville Tuesday and will have Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl playing together on the same line. Is Edmonton showing signs of desperation putting their two stars together already? How will Kirby Dach’s injury impact the Habs? TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button joins SC with Jay Onrait to discuss.

Yes, they are. Woody wouldn't have to go many more loss's for the fans to be demanding change.
Woody's gotta keep the Oilers top heavy. Lean into the Edmonton doesn't have a bottom 6 narrative.
Why would he ever try McDavid, Draisaitl, Nugent-Hopkins, McLeod down the middle and put defensive wingers with shooting wingers? C'mon
I would never split them up. I would run up scores every night. When an Atlas Rocket launches only a very small part returns for it to be a resounding success. I want the Oilers gas tank full @ the Seasons start and I want then flying fast hot and hard with 1/8 of a Tank left when they hit the First Playoff Round and I want them running on fumes when they close the deal….because there has been no team in the NHLs history that has this level of offense….no one has their Gastank and Skill level…. all you need is decent management and this Bus drives itself….wake the puck up people the NHL has not changed that much since the Trap Era and Goalies are even bigger than before …. we are watching History here….even if the NHL makes rule changes that help the Bedards of the world to try to keep up to this Show we are seeing ….. nothing will touch what Connor and King Leon have going on. Shoot Woodcraft to the Moon if he cannot learn how to plan a Perfect PLayoff Roadtrip to the Stanley Cup.
worth a try, who centers second line?
need more team defense back in own zone from forwards?
Is Draisaitl low German ? He looks like a Hutterite and their coach looks creepy af.
how might teams reduce injuries to players like Dach?
This just shows woodcrofts naivety. Inability to find other ways to win, to deploy his 2 megastars he inherited instead of creating discipline and play a 4 line unit, and give other players the vote of confidence to play like a team. I dont see this top heavy approach working. Same deal since 17/18.
Funny how oilers fans screamed defence and goaltending and Holland did none of that in the off season. Offence is not the teams issue it’s defence mostly.
