Canes Facilities Tour

My wife and I were given the opportunity to have a guided tour of the Canes facilities today. I didn’t take as many photos as I had planned because a lot was happening around PNC. Truly shocking to see a glimpse of what all is happening when the team is away.

Picture 1 – The view from where Tripp and Mike sit.

Picture 2 – Team photos dating back to Hartford days. The photos did stop in the 2018-19 year though. He wasn’t sure why. Lol.

Photo 3, 4 – A replica Stanley Cup, trophies, and other memorabilia

Photo 5 – Had to get a picture of Slavin’s spot.

Photo 6 – Also had to get a photo of Svech’s spot.

It was unfortunate that the ice wasn’t down, but they were making adjustments to the big screen. We were able to view some of the office space and Tom Dundon’s suite whenever he’s at the games. He didn’t turn the lights on in the suite so it was pretty dark (hence the no photo).

He asked if I had any questions and he’d answer them if he was allowed. I was on the spot so I could only think of two 😭 1) Are they going to make Hanna run back and forth outside during intermissions? He said it’s mainly up to her. As the season goes on, people tend to get even more excited and electric so doing the intermission commentary is pretty difficult and weighs on them. 2) Will we see Svech in or before December? I feel like he knows more than he led on, but depending on how we’re playing and our record, he wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t see Svech until January. From his perspective, especially after last year, they want to be 120% sure he’s good before he’s in games. Not even mad if we don’t see him until January – his health is significantly more important than some October – December games, especially if we’re winning.

It was exciting to hear his POV. He’s very excited about the developments that PNC will be making over the next 5 years. As a Winston Salem native and one who isn’t able to go to a lot of games, he was able to get me excited about all the renovations and additions that PNC will see.

We saw a lot of the arena + facilities that I didn’t take photos of. If you have questions, I can potentially answer them if I know. Lol.
