Columbus Blue Jackets? More like Columbus Shmoo Shmackets.
What happened to the new light the lamp? That was pretty slick.
Nothing against Kubalik, but Sprong feels like an upgrade. His shot might not be as good but he does a better job scoring from the dirty areas and grinding out goals. More rounded game too. I’m sure we’ll see some streamlines as with anyone, but he appears capable of scoring in more situations than Kubalik
The Red Wings have been able to roll with the good teams for a couple of years now. The true challenge this season will be stopping themselves from playing down to opponents they think are bad.
Hopefully this is the year the Red Wings finally learn that there are no easy opponents in the NHL.
