That just sucks for Sekera. Few injuries are as scary as an Achilles Tendon just snapping. And even worse since this is right after the time he missed last year. That's really bad news for Edmonton. He wasn't playing big minutes last year, but the year before he was relied on. They may have to get desperate. And honestly that might be better than rushing someone like Bouchard into the lineup who may not be ready.
Watched cult of hockey talk about this yesterday, the Sekera injury I mean. Stapler suggested Justin Faulk trade maybe. While that sounds good? I'm really not sure chiarelli should be the one making that trade cause it seems he's not the best negotiator.
If he can Faulk for Benson and a third. That be a decent price. Not Puljarvi. Not Strome. Definitely not Bear, Jones, or Mantha. Not a first or second. Just a third and a B prospect.
If not, invite Schenn or Bieska to pto. Last resort would be Davidson.
