Jack Johnson – Was an American boxer, who—at the height of the Jim Crow era—became the first African American world heavyweight boxing champion (1908–1915). Johnson went on to become one of the most dominant champions of his time, and remains a significant historical figure in heavyweight boxing history, with his 1910 fight against James J. Jeffries being dubbed the “fight of the century.” Johnson was faced with much controversy when he was charged with violating the Mann Act in 1912, even though there was an obvious lack of evidence and the charge was largely racially based. In a documentary about his life, Ken Burns notes that “for more than thirteen years, Jack Johnson was the most famous and the most notorious African-American on Earth”.

awesome videos
His graft is amazing. Not just hard and tough, but had the science to go with it. Revolutionary!
Thanks man. I definitely gotta sub now
Apocalyptica. Nice choice. Beautiful song.
Boxing without (color's) borders. This was the Door…
I LOVE YOUR WORK BRO! DROP YOUR PAYPAL SO I CAN DONATE!
Glad to see this man finally got his pardon! He should go down in history as a hero, not a convicted felon.
Jack Dempsey would've knocked Johnson out inside of 3 rounds.
I had to come back to this highlight vid to understand it's true beauty. Finally added to greatest videos!
Jack Johnson had a tactical defensive approach to boxing and the sweet science which was unusual at the time; back then it was all about swarming but Jack J fought with a lot of intelligence. I read an interview with him and he seems like a real nice guy too. He loved to drive his car unsafely fast, and one time a cop pulled him over and gave him a ticket, Johnson handed him a $100 bill and when the cop said he didn't have change for that Johnson told him to keep the change because he was going to drive back the same way.
JESUS deliverance to bless a brother to beat racism and boxers simultaneously ✝️
fuckin' A man, GOOSEBUMPS, definition of a true warrior,💯
my favorite part is when Jack Johnson drops Stanley Ketchel, decides nah I ain't done, drags him up to his feet, into the corner…… 1:45

正直怖い
He fights like Jeff Horn
Doesnt Jack Johnson fight a lot like Jeff Horn?
I rank him as number just for the time period he fought in. This is the early 1900’s when black men, women and children were lynched for no reason. And he still did what he did without fear. Straight warrior!
Here's a fun fact @ 3:30 Johnson was wiping a few of Stanley's teeth from his glove! Great video 👍🏽👊🏽💯

Wow. The footage ie incredible. This man would have been a great fighter in 2019! You also included several pictures I've never seen before😱. Thanks for this! I recently did a social commentary on Jack Johnson on my channel. So compelled by this story and like what you're doing with your page! New subscriber!🤗
Johnson would have been champ in any era.
I want to love Jack Johnson but I'll cant forgive him betraying Joe louis
He would drop Dempsey any day of the week and twice on Sunday
awesome video thanx
This is my most lovely highlight
he was like the 1900s anderson silva.
GOD’S glory in the imperfection of man thank you for your work ✝️
Thought he was around 6'4
He and Louis stood more against bigotry then Ali did.
Such a brave soul, way ahead of his time.
Wanna talk about a man who lived his life fearlessly… Jack Johnson was truly free.
Any man that fights for his freedom deserves all the respect and admiration
The Great Black hope I name is Jack Johnson…..Better remember that!!!!!
Good work
The part where he's knocked down almost looked like he wasn't gonna be able to get up. Him getting back up and destroying his opponent showed his determination and perseverance.
even though there was a lot of racism against Johnson but a lot of white people was really supporting him more than people not supporting him.
THE REAL GANGSTER !!!
I jack my johnson quite often.

The BEST EVER! He suffered the biggest pressure ever stepping in the ring. People were killd everytime he won a fight. He had the best stress ever to enter the ring as beeing black. He came from a poor black family. He overcame his limitations and became the FIRST BLACK CHAMPION OF THE WORLD. He must carry the title of the best ever, as his contribution overcomes time and life!!!
Boxing has come soooo far it's breath taking to see the sport evolve in so may ways and forms its like watching you're child grow up to be the great son he is today.
How did Jess Willard beat this guy? Did he take a dive?
THE LEGENDARY ☝🔥
This is one man who does not get enough recognition for his place in history. He wasn't trying to be anything but himself but in doing so was a lightning rod. Also, he liked to physically support his opponents while he kept beating on them, just to prolong his time on stage lol!
Wonder how fast Tyson would have upper cut him down?
You're my favourite boxing montage channel. Love your music choice, your knowledge and passion of the sport as well as the fighters you choose, which come from all eras and divisions. Please keep up the great work mate
I wish they would allow arm wrestling and dirty boxing like they used to
