  1. How come the Oilers didnt dress a goalie? Well we can enjoy this win because it is not likely to happen again

  2. Good to see Edmonton in mid season form was going for the underdogs sadly they didn’t win

  3. I was scared of the 3rd period as nucks likes to blow leads, but game was over when Draisaitl got his first penalty, then McDavid put himself in the box afterwards for no reason. Sadly highlights doesn't take penalties as highlights, but a fight yes? Confused.

  4. Winnipeg is my home team, Vancouver is my back up because I lived there for 25 years but this year I picked the Oilers and Canes to meet in the Finals so I'm conflicted, I'm glad Vancouver came out strong to start their season but I'm disappointed in Edmonton's lackluster effort and embarrassed in such a lopsided way to start theirs. Edmonton should make the playoffs so it's not that big a deal if they bounce back with a W.
It can't be worse than my preseason Finals picks last year, Calgary and Montreal…WTF was I thinking?

  5. This is a game you forget asap if you’re an oiler. Oilers defense was bad (especially Nurse), but Campbell is atrocious. An NHL goaltender has to have a couple of those. Ken Holland should’ve made a move for a legit NHL goaltender in the off-season. Skinner and Campbell is not a tandem you have when you’re a contender.

Edit. Skinner reg season ok. Playoffs were trash.

  6. They let Kostin and Bjugstad walk, no real D improvements, only managing to re sign McLeod and Ryan.
RNH, Kane, Hyman all non existent. They deserved this and more. Goalies and Leon were left to dry. McDavid doesn't have the insides to carry the way Ovi and Sid carried their teams.

  7. Never thought I'd see a dman underperform their contract more than OEL, but I'd 100% take OEL at the 7.25 the Nucks were paying over Nurse at 9.25. With the extra 2 mil I could get a dman who actually cares.

  8. The best laugh was the TSN panel predict the Canucks will be like second last in their division and miss the playoffs this year

While the Oilers will have one of the best chances at the cup

  9. Boeser 4 goals, JT 1 goal and 4 assists, and the bottom 6 also contributing thanks to Dakota Joshua's drive to the net on the rush. Love this start far more then a year ago!

Boese's looking more like he did when he was a force to be reckoned with and JT showing his playmaker chops. Glad the Canucks kept them both. Even Connor Garland decorated the Oiler's net with a puck!
