Slaf was great, especially on Newhook's first goal
The best move of Slav is that he followed his guy, the leaf defenseman, on that Newhook goal. It showed a better understanding of the game. And we could see that his reach is elite level. When he use it for back-end pass in the slot, it is lethal.
Despite the loss I'm very impressed with the Habs Top 6 performance, this season looks promising. Dvorak we don't need him he can't sit at home for the rest of the season lol
Dach is amazing. I just love how he plays. He is becoming my favorite player on the team.
Great game for the second line.
its only one game, but I'm confident to say that anderson doesn't belong on that top line, can't wait for dvorak to come back on the third line and put monahan on the first.
Xhekaj gets a 2 minute instigator and a 10 minute misconduct for pushing Reaves onto the net. Woohoo! 😆
The second line was sick. On the first line Anderson was a bit off I wonder if Harvey Pinard would not be a better match, and Put Anderson with Monahan who was wasted with Gally and Pearson I felt.
The Habs has playoff team right there if they keeps playing like this for rest of the season. Sa sent la coupe!
What a game for Slaf, he’s just starting to show his great potential. He will be a great player and he’s showing it, he understands how the game is played on smaller ice and it shows,the opponents better look over their shoulders when he’s on the ice.
everybody was good! we didn't see gallagher much but its ok.. Harvey-Pinard is good everywhere 🙂 Good thing for Newhook these two goals for his confidence.. because he is a player with intense emotions

OMG I hated the Leafs they suck down 2-0,best team ever Leafs 3-2,the worst team I ever seen at 5-3 montreal,greast team in NHL history when they tied 5-5 and Matthews got a hatty.Overtime Leafs were bums and the shootout they are going to lose.

This won't be the last time Reaves fights Xhekaj. Next time might be more of a boxing match and Xhekaj will need to be on the ball. Arber is going to be a key part of this team for a long time. It might be a stretch but I believe eventually Florian will be too.

Your analysis of Slav is spot on. He was in the right spots and i loved his play. In fact he muscled the puck back in that allowed that Newhook goal. He won't be credited for but that's what we need. Beautiful synergy of this up and coming team 👌

Not landing a top tier will kill our team all season, not a chance this game shouldve been tied after 3 periods.

Savard was terrible in all short handed situations. How many goals was he on for???
