The Pittsburgh Penguins did not have the start they were looking for this season. They lost 4-2 to the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night and some of the same issues we saw last year popped up again this year. Hunter and Pat start with the defensive zone issues and how the Penguins failed at clearing the net front and getting sticks into passing lanes. They look at how the efforts on the first and third goals against were not good enough. They also discuss how the Penguins forechecked and how that was also not good enough against a team that won’t be good defensively. You can't make the playoffs your first month in or so, but you definitely can find yourself missing the playoffs because of a piss poor start. Points are precious.

The most concerning thing to me about last night's game isn't that they lost, it's that they played exactly the same way as last season. It was like an extension of last season.

Stupid penalties like the Carter one will cost us games I cant believe he actually questioned it, as far as chemistry it will definitely take time they just need to be responsible defensively until they can develop it
