only way McSorley was effective was by getting his jersey off for fights. Otherwise he wouldn't have lasted in the league more than a few seasons.

That was a great Leafs team. So much passion. Probably my favourite squad that was so close to making it to the finals. Montreal won which was the last time a Canadian team won. It could have been an all Canadian final.

Wendel Clark was tough Cookie , Up there with best fighters of that era , Type of guy you would want in your team back when hockey was was proper hard hitting game , Knowing if you done a dirty your going to pay the price !!!

At 4:35 – that’s my dad in the grey suit holding back Pat, Dr Simon McGrail, Leaf Medical Staff. He didn’t want Burns to get sanctioned by the NHL for attacking Melrose, and miss Game Two, so, unlike the policeman there who got out the way, dad stood his ground, let Pat cuss at high volume, and saved the coach being suspended. It means a lot that this great moment in family history happened IN THE GARDENS!

Props to Clark for stepping in for Gilmore like he did. Never liked McSorley even though he was one of the best enforcers.
