What’s the problem? Making sure he doesn’t re-injure it is a good idea

Well I do love how agents can just cut through the rumors with Twitter, I think fans are frustrated the team made him play half a season on a torn ACL. If he got surgery sooner, he would have been back by now

    It is what it is.

Hopefully he gets better and comes back as fast as he was in Toronto.

The bigger issue here is Vancouver and their luck when it comes to free agents. It really seems like a ton of players, who used to not be so fragile, get injured pretty fast once they are Canucks. Like Soucy and Mik are quite new, but Sutter, Hamhuis, etc. players who were once ironmen are injured quick here. So the question here is, are there good training programs in place here? Are we working them too hard? Is the player enhancement protocols reviewed by health professionals frequently?

I think fans will really need to temper their expectations of Mikheyev this season. Especially at the start of the year as he is ramping up.

Wouldn’t surprise me to see them go with a line of Mikheyev / Blueger / Lafferty and deploy it as a checking line they bury in the d-zone and play on the PK.
