  1. Goodbye Joel, hope you get claimed, but let’s be real, you won’t get claimed.

Keep ylonen and armia can try to find himself.

    Really like it.

Was worried about both of these guys taking roster spots and ice time away from younger players. Good decision.

  4. RitoRvolto

Didn’t think he’d actually do it.

    Nice.

  5. Finally! Great that someone more deserving will get a shot on the team and Armia will be great for Laval.

So if someone claims Armia, we’re basically shed of his contract completely, right?

  7. exposteve

Shouldn’t we assume they will call Armia back up once Price hits in-season LTIR?

  8. musikalitee

What needed to happen but it still makes me sad that we got to this point with Armia (our one man army)

  9. mikegimik

They actually fuckin did it. Good. Finafuckingly

So out of the forwards it’s heineman/ylonen left. Kinda surprised that heineman hasn’t been sent down yet.

  11. Wow ![img](emote|t5_2r10m|16352)![img](emote|t5_2r10m|16352)![img](emote|t5_2r10m|16352)![img](emote|t5_2r10m|16352) and here I thought it would be a slow news day! How much of Armia contract still applies to the cap if he clears?

Oof damn I really didn’t expect that from big balls Kent.

Contrarily to a lot of people here, I feel bad for Armia, dude just could never get it going since the cup run and each time he was starting to play well he always got injured in the most freaky fashion… it kind of took it’s toll on him and destroyed his confidence..

In his prime he was honestly one of my favorite forwards on the team and he was a major player in our cup run. But he’s been so bad since then.. wish him the best, but we gotta look forward to the future now and he’s not going to be a part of it.

Feels like that might be the end of the line for Armia honestly, if you make above the minimum salary and can’t make one of the worst teams in the NHL there’s just no place for you in the league. If that is it for him, I will choose to remember him for his One Man Armia shifts and his role in getting us to the Finals, as he was legitimately a huge part of that team. Can’t believe he fell off so hard since then, such a shame.

  15. Possibly cap gymnastics?

Also what does this mean for Primeau, is he staying up?

  16. kingkellam

    This was the right choice.

He was really good for a while, glad we got him. And all it took was us taking Mason’s salary

  17. Damn, i kiked Armia so much but never found his chair

  18. jamboncalotte

jcomprend pas . y’était pas si pire Armia.
