  1. And I think he’s Dan Petry’s kid
    ⚾️
    Whoops
    Jumped the gun
    lol 😂

    But I knew,
because Dan gets physical therapy in the office our daughter works in

  2. I called this 100% this is a big W. I am so excited to watch the boys play next season. 57 dayssssss.

  3. I have a hard time getting excited about this. It basically just means someone we signed in the last calendar year is going to be sitting every night. And of course, the prospects are basically confirmed to be in GR now. Maybe one of them will blow the coaching staff away. But come on, we know they won't blow them away that much. My view is…as long as we're not a flat out GOOD team, you might as well work the young guys in. We don't need to wait until we're a regular playoff team.

  4. Pens fan here. I’m glad to see you guys are excited about getting him. He was solid here and under appreciated by some fans because of his contract. I think he had a wrist or hand injury in the middle of the season so he should at least start the year healthy for you guys.

I’m happy to see he gets to play in his hometown and live with his family and doesn’t have to go back to Montreal. I wasn’t happy to see he ended up back there in the Karlsson trade because his family seemed very important to him and was the reason he left there initially.

  5. competition to make the top 6 is never a bad thing. and yzerman isnt gonna hesitate to promote the young guys if they earn a spot. it ups the quality of our dmen and doesnt create the log jam people fear

  6. I hope what’s going on here is that Holl/Petry/Edvinsson have a fierce competition for games, which should light a fire under Edvinsson to EARN a spot. While I don’t love the prospect of any of the three being “the guy” on our 3rd pair, I love the idea of running with who’s hot while Edvinsson gains that NHL experience

  7. Put Jeff Petry on the Second pairing on the right it's it place 2nd Power Play Unit is perfect in this role. In Montréal he was behind #76 P.K. Subban and #6 Shea Weber. In Pittsburgh was behind #58 Kris Letang. Now #58 Kris Letang will replace Petry on the second Pairing behind #65 Erik Karlsson in Pittsburg and he will be behind #53 Moritz Seider In Détroit.

  8. I think its a solid deal for both teams. Supplies both pressure to to the D-men to not rest on their laurels and gives everyone breathing room in case injuries occur. Good contract, extra veteran leadership… Keep at it Stevie Y! Anyone else hear that Edmonton is seriously pushing for Patrick Kane? Would be quite the offensive powerhouse.😅
