That's crazy, it felt like we were pretty good on the PK towards the last half of the season but I guess not. If anything I feel like this team will start where they left off last season but with more improvement! Still got work to do but it's all coming together!
MY Goodness, it's Preseason. Everyone on the team needs improving. Don't worry so much about face offs. Yes, the PP sucks but they will work on that. Look back at last year ans the Kraken did not do well the first month. They have a very tough schedule in the first 15 days or first 3 weeks. Should talk about Joey and how well he is doing. I hope all will stay healthy. Now, how is Tye doing>
Ryker Evans is a Left D and Justin Schultz a Right D so I don’t see moving Schultz as making room for Evans.
As for moving Wennberg for to make room for Wright. Thats a huge gamble given how much Wennberg brings to the table and how little we know about how Wright will perform in the regular season.
I think with both Evans and Wright, you can press box Bellemare or Dumolin as test drive them in the regular season. You can also move Yanni to wing and trade a winger to make room for Wright at C, or move an LD like Dumolin or Oleksiak for Evans. Trading Wennberg or Schultz doesn’t making a lot of sense given the incoming players IMO.
Give the young guys regular roles and minutes (would love to see Wright, Kartye and Yanni being rolled out against another teams 3rd or 4th line). This team only gets anywhere with their improvement. Let Evans run the PP, no one else the Kraken have can do what he does. Neither of the young guys have anything to prove below the NHL level
I might be wrong but i feel shane wright will be a franchise player given the right treatment and time in the nhl
