Ordinarily I’d say the Presidents trophy is more liability than advantage. Regular season stats OFTEN don’t translate. That said, I’d say the Avs deserve to be the favourite. Sure they have underperformed in the last 2 years in the playoffs, but I feel like the stacked rosters (and the Avs are indeed stacked) usually find a way eventually.
Can't imagine any Leafs suspensions in the playoffs since Kadri is gone.

When you get swept in the first round, you didn't start running before you face planted. At best, they had a good launch from the starting blocks with that 3 goal lead in game 1 but then twisted their ankle on the first step.

It's early talks but if Quebec city can get five games a season to show they can support a NHL team no doubt there will be NHL expansion to Quebec city in time for the 2026/2027 season and if people think the Ottawa Senators are going to relocate that's not going to happen there good hockey market that I believe will get what they need most a new downtown arena and same goes for Arizona coyotes they will never relocate because it's also good hockey market that will be on full display when they get approval for new arena so any talk of Houston getting a team will come through expansion by 2029/2030 season the NHL will be at 34 teams
