One of the key reasons why WWF (world wide fund for animals) came after the initials, was because they had the claim to those initials, and although they allowed the wrestling company to use it, it became an issue when WWF (the wrestling) were claiming the initials for online purposes; domain names, social media identiies etc.
They had to legally block the wrestling's use of the letters, otherwise when you go looking for a Worldwide Fund for Animals, you'll get big muscular wrestlers instead of cuddly pandas.
Wrestling is pantomime obviously ,but so many people delude themselves that its real ,why ??,cant they accept its a show. This is such a tragic story ,the doctor got off lightly.
Fewer bodies than usual but equally as tragic nonetheless.
The sad thing was, if it wasn't Benoit it was going to be somebody. Pro wrestling at that time in 2007 was hitting a point of constant physical escalation. With countless independent wrestlers idolizing the work of people like Benoit and pushing the boundaries of what was safe. The Benoit case could have been and should have been avoided but it served as a catalyst to make the profession safer. Sadly through regulation and rules and not a choice by wrestlers and agreed upon by fans.

Aside from the horrible tragedy, Why do they talk about wrestlers: “he did well, he continued to win championships” it’s all scripted. It’s not a real sport! North Americans can be quite foolish, it’s millions of adults indulging in a Santa Claus mentality. Wrestling is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen
To be fair, my dad tells us all all the time that if he goes missing, it’s my mom but not because she’s violent or abusive (which she is about the furthest thing from) but because she’s so obsessed with true crime that he is convinced she knows how to hide a body. Lol.

I don’t think I had ever heard how extensive his injuries were. But I think the wrestling industry should accept their part. Yes, fuck him for taking the wife and kid, but he was deeply damaged for acting within their business model.
Yeah I generally dig the videos but I think this one fell into the trap that most true crime media does when covering this where they spent more time saying "I don't know anything about wrestling, I don't know who this is, this sounds silly, isn't it fake, no one would do a suplex, etc." It's really distracting and takes away from the subject matter.
I understand the lack of understanding from those who don’t watch but wrestling is absolutely not fake. It’s scripted for sure but when people are throwing themselves off 30 foot cells through tables you can’t fake that. They just know how to do it as safely as possible

I'm 23 and i have high cholesterol that's due to genetics. They say i'm going to eventually have to go on pills for it but they don't want to put me on them yet since i already have around 10 pills i take every day due to many other mental/physical issues. Really hit the genetic lottery LOL. I feel you
