Raleigh doesn’t stand a chance going up against a city like Nashville or even Charlotte for a MLB team. That’s just not realistic. PS I’m from Nashville. I’m sorry, but your guest speaker doesn’t know what he’s talking about. If he thinks that Raleigh is so much bigger than Nashville, he needs to go back to geography school. Nashville is getting 1,000,000+ more people by 2050 Raleigh cannot compete. He is delusional. Nashville has a plan to put an MLB stadium in North Nashville with the current minor-league team. The sounds play. I’m sorry Raleigh Durham Chapel Hill just can’t beat. Nobody even comes here for tourism. It’s really boring here in Raleigh.
