    Sad that F1 is like a TV show now.
    For someone watching F1 since 2006 the racing element is just forgotten sometimes.
    Although Races have been awesome since start of 2021 for me the appeal of F1 is just gone since 2013. Maybe I am nostalgic or something about the sound of V8s or the points scoring system where every year championship battles would go to the last race.
    Honestly speaking I even stopped watching it from mid 2014 to imola 2021.
    But followed it thoroughly until 2017.

    The thing about this show is, it's not a documentary its a Reality show, they will go for as much drama possible, which I get. I understand missing some plot points, perhaps they didn't think Alonso was too dramatic. They're not trying to show racing, they're trying to show drama in which racing is involved. What I don't get though is why they straight up make up scenarios which just didn't happen like Verstappen winning that Sprint race, that's beyond me, miss all the info you want, but don't make up shit.

    its hilarious how hey spent that much time talking about mazespin and they didn't even mentioned the retirement of kimi or the goodbye of antonio, i mean the alfa romeo didn't appear once

    It was worse this year than ever. It's like the producers just sit around and make up stories. While also ignoring actual good stories that all the fans wouldn't mind hearing about. They told outright lies for the sake of drama, and honestly it was insulting. Can't wait for season 5!

    I mean.. I understand people being pissed off.. But also I think it's good tv. It's great at building up tension and playing with emotion.. That's what TV is good at

    F1 used to have presenters with personality like James Hunt, Murray Walker, then later John Watson, Ben Edwards.

    Now we have utter clowns like Will Buxton, Jolyon Palmer, David Croft. The drop in quality is immense.

    I only watch DTS because I wanna see F1 content but my goodness their editing is just all over the place. They will go from the beginning to the end to the middle to the beginning to the end. I get it they want to show different teams' perspective but ugh. But I do love seeing Christian Horner stirring up shit every chance he gets, he has a troll side inside him😂

    Yes, glad someone else said it. The editing is SO BAD on this show. I can’t follow the races they cover at all. And then there are the stereotypical reality show tropes. Please spare me.

    Tbf Drive to survive did get me into the sport, but after watching the whole of the last F1 season and then watching the latest season of drive to survive, its easy to see why most long term F1 fans don't like it. I just stopped watching halfway through

    DTS gets a lot of hate for being inaccurate, but regardless it’s still very entertaining to watch.

    Context;
    I've seen 99% of all races since 1994. I consider myself a fan.
