  1. Winnipeg Jets going downhill. Paul Maurice saw this coming which is why he stepped down last season.

  2. Wheeler and Scheifele are good at putting up points, but they're horrible defensively…

  3. His play went down in rhe past 3 yrs, for 8 mill he should be more productive. He wasn't a good Captain for the Jets.

  4. Wheeler handled this interview very well, compared to the way he conducted
himself in most post game interviews in the past, where he'd constantly snap
at members of the media. I got very bad vibes from Wheeler being a Jets fan,
for his leadership role as Captain. Well Rick Bowness is the new boss in town,
and Wheeler and Scheifele won't be running the team anymore, where they just
stepped all over Maurice. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Bowness can
do with this talented hockey club, that has underacheived. I've being saying for
the last 2 years, first step to fix this club, is get rid of Wheeler, and because they
couldn't trade him, they did the next best thing for now. I believe he was the cancer
in the dressing room, so I hope to see a new invigorated team. I'm sure Wheeler
won't be a problem in his "new role" and he'll be a good 2nd line player the Jets
can use, because he's still pretty good, just not worth the $ 8 mil he gets.

  5. How he became captain in the first place and got to keep it past his 3rd year is confounding. At least he sounds humble now, but he's been c*nt before and who knows what he really thinks.

  6. Wheeler and Scheifele are locker room cancers. That rumor has been out out by ex-teammates.
I mean, honestly, does anyone have a more smug, punchable, frat-boy face than Scheifele.

  7. When speaking here, I sense that Blake is more humble than he was before. That may not be a bad thing. Now if the team can manage to stop Scheifele from whining after every penalty called against the Jets or after – every time he feels that the other team deserves a penalty (according to him).

  8. Woman watch soap operas.
    Men watch sports.
There’s a similarity between the two. You can’t help but get dragged into the politics and drama if you follow your team closely.
Anyways, would love to see Wheeler holding cup over his head in Winnipeg. Hope he gets the chance.
