I would like to see lavoie play up with nuge or some of the top guys cause he’s got a great shot!…seems they stick these bako boys down in the line up and really don’t give them a chance to shine!…hamblin is pretty good also!
I agree. This man needs a real playmaker. How are we gonna sign Sutter who hasn't played in 2 years, Gagner is broken. Erne had a goal I guess. But they drafted lavoie hight in the 2nd (38th). And now you're telling me you may potentially send him through waivers and lose him for nothing? That who be very short sighted and stupid. At least give him a shot as a trigger man for a competent playmaker.
Makes zero sense to send Lavoie through wavers. Montreal has been chomping at the bits over this guy for the past year. Seems, no matter what, Jay's pet project, Holloway is a lock. So it's between Hamblin and Lovoie. Lovoie is just a better player than Hamblin. My guess is if Woodcroft and Holland are absolutely determined to not put Lovoie in the line up, they're working on a trade right now. They will not lose that guy to waivers. We all remember how much of a studly star Holloway was in preseason last year. Then he went off the rails given 50 + games in the NHL. I think if you give Lovoie 50 games in the NHL this guy's going to light up the lamp…alot! The dude's a sniper. Montreal knows that, not sure what's Jay's hesitation is to get into the R. Lovoie business? Maybe Jay needs to buy a few things at the Ralph Lauren store over the next week and get the letters R.L. etched into his brain.

Hopefully this is the year Lavoie and/or Broberg stick around and become decent players or that '19 draft class will be a total bust
