Without Carter? Yes. Without Richie? Maybe. Richie is a natural-born leader. Both of them were good role players but I give more credit for the Cup to Brown, Doughty, Gagne, and Quick. Can you provide proof that suggests that without Carter and Richie the Kings wouldn't have won the Cup?
LA didn't win the because of any player specifically. But they definitely don't win the cup with out those two though. Philly might have gotten Ok players in return but they traded away proven winners and the heart and soul of the team
you do realize carter scored 4 goals in finals, one being the OT winner in game 2 and 2 goals in game 6 one being the cup clincher, and gagne should be thanking sutter for putting him in those last couple games
…so you would rather a 8.5 million dollar goalie who is ranked 60th in the NHL over two top offensive players when we had Bob, who is currently considered one of the best in the league. Sheer brilliance.

I did the stats and trust me, LAs positive streak didn't start UNTIL they got Carter.
Gagne didn't do much.
I miss Richards, but not Carter. Carter is a lazy player.
