Willson Contreras on Cardinals’ future plans to get him back behind the plate

Willson Contreras on when he’ll be back behind the plate: “That doesn’t mean that I’m not a St. Louis Cardinal catcher. Many people think that I’m not going to catch anymore. It’s not that way. We’re finding a really good plan to have me catching sometime soon and we’re following it.”

  1. And tonight they'll start Wainwright at SS and put bench coach Willie McGee back in centerfield with the ball boy starting at Pitcher.

  2. The cubs did a nice tribute video for him and of course he gets booed by the cubs fans. Wilson is our guy. F Mo

  3. Love yah Wilson, sorry our ownership and FO has no clue how to be men and spend some money on quality pitching!

  4. Seems like he MISSES Shitcago! Stay there, we'll do JUST FINE with our TRUE catcher in Andrew Robert Knizner, the 28-year-old from Glen Allen, Virginia. #12in23

  5. When you’re told Not to win in October you get what you’re getting this spring. Welcome to the Grand Illusion

  6. Things will work out with Willie it's just we need front end starting pitching. He has taken this well and he still leaves his heart out on the field for the Redbirds.

  7. There's just two things you need to do to be embraced by Cardinals fans. Play hard and show that you care. Willy appears to have those attributes, so I think he'll be fine. Let's lay off the Cards management who's had a rough year so far, but we forget how consistently good they've been over the last two decades. It's model that's admired from afar.
