I mean it’s preseason so not too worried. They could have gone 0-5 in preseason games and I wouldn’t have been all that concerned since it doesn’t mean anything just yet and the players know that too

It doesn’t look great though, 5-0 for the flames would’ve been a statement, but yeah it’s not the end of the world

We can’t even beat the Oilers AHL team? Does not bode well for our chances this year.

This was absolutely pathetic, but then again we blew out Vancouver’s farm team 10-0. I don’t know what to believe. Like most Flames seasons, the only that’s for sure is that nothing is for sure.

  5. The oilers care more about beating us than we do about beating them, has been that way for as long as I can remember now

Lmao who the fuck cares. It’s preseason and coiler fans are acting like they’re cup bound lmao

Bakersfield Condors 2, Calgary Flames 1.

Their roster was mostly guys competing for spots, our roster was mostly guys trying to tweak new systems and chemistry. One has significantly more motivation than the other.

Yeah it stings a bit but that’s how preseason works and there’s no sense getting worked up over a loss in the preseason… I didn’t see anyone spelling doom when we lost the split squad game here in calgary against Seattle

It doesn’t matter. Pre-season doesn’t correlate that well to regular season play. Everyone’s just annoyed because it was the Oilers. Our B squad beat the Kraken earlier in the week on their home ice with comparable lineups.

Meh. They had the disallowed 2-0 goal and the pk from the challenge was the difference maker. Weird series of events.

OT was a different animal. These guys didn’t get to practice it all season long last. They’re clearly still working on some stuff. Now is the time to try things out in the lab.
