Conspiracy brain is telling me they’re working on a trade to clear cap space. A damn shame if so, we could really use Calle’s PK expertise but I guess that’s why Matthews is learning how to kill penalties now. Also, his 20 goals were nothing to sneeze at, but with Bert and Max, and the potential breakouts from Knies and Robertson I guess they figure they can make up for it.
He’s probably destined to spend many shifts on the 4th line this year. He’d be better off somewhere else. An unfortunate cap casualty of bringing in “snot”.
