He is what he is I guess, but he’s also a NHL-ready goalie that’s really cheap and makes things a little less dire since it sounds like Tarasov might be a longer on the recovery than possibly expected.
What I would fucking give for a healthy goalie that’s also good, though lol
He was free, has experience, low cap hit. Similar stats as Elvis so he can’t be worse than him.

Sounds like Tarasov will be out longer and the only goalie we have signed is Greaves. (Technically we have Nolan Lalonde, but he has been sent back to Juniors. Even if we didn’t do it, do you really want a 19 year goalie to be thrown in the fire?) This is basically a stop gap for the backup spot until Tarasov comes back. If he’s able clear waviers, great. He has better numbers in the AHL level. If not, we got him for nothing so it would be a win in my books.
