Nah I think they’ll be good this year
My expectations for the Chicago Blackhawks is that rebuild to be over and a cup contender starting 2027/2028 season and Stanley Cup win in 2030 or 2031

I think you summed it up well. I think they’ll be better but not a playoff team.
Davidson has done a great job through the rebuild. Definitely not Playoffs for at least a couple seasons for the hawks to get back to contending Status. I don’t see the hawks as Bottom 2 team this year, but bottom 5-10 makes sense. So there’s improvement, but still need to keep building until they’re finally there. But I’m with THG. 2026 will see the hawks most likely back in the playoffs

If the Hawks can somehow end this season with drafting Celebrini that would be incredible.

Look, I’m just gonna say it. Take the over on Chicagos points total if you are betting. We aren’t gonna make the playoffs or anything… but this team is going to surprise a lot of people.
Despite their record, the Hawks only played a handful of really bad games last year. They were competitive, and I was impressed with Richardson, and the way he handled the ups and downs. Remember that the Hawks were playing so well at the end of the season, that they eliminated 2 teams from the playoffs. (Pittsburgh and Calgary) I wouldn't be surprised if they did well this year………………….

A bold move to leave the team's highest paid player completely off the board and out of the discussion. Probably wouldn't call it a smart move, but certainly a bold one.

The West is the weaker Conference. Chicago is going to shake many trees this season
blackhawks actually consider soderblom the top goalie prospect, and some places see stauber as the top prospect (eliteprospects). it's nice having 3 goalies with legitimate shots to stick in the nhl, and all at a different stop in development so they can each get a turn if the one ahead doesnt pan out. hawks are gonna be real bad but real fun to watch

The veterans that were brought in, are extremely disappointing, they failed to get anyone to protect Bedard, they are paying Corey Parry 4mil for 1 yr, when Ryan Reaves signed 3yr/ 4 mil deal, how did we miss him, it is going to be a long season full of disappointment and could have been’s

I think people don't realize just how good the Hawks prospect pool already is. Even before Bedard, Moore, and the other 2023 picks, they were ranked #5 overall in the NHL.
Now they have an even deeper pipeline and another 2 drafts with a lot of picks coming. This rebuild will be over quicker than many think.
Unpopular opinion but I believe Arizona will contend for a WC spot this season
