would have been nice if the NHL broadcasted the game on NHL networks LIKE THEY SAID THEY WOULD, instead they were doing a rerun on the “top 20 wingers playing”…

Imo except the first 5 minutes they weren’t that bad considering it was half regulars
younger kids got some points, pro’s didn’t do much (tough to get amped up for a preseason game when you’re a 5+ year pro), can’t complain too much after 1 game

Personal takeaways:
– the entire team was rusty from the getgo
– Varlamov especially. Notorious for letting in early softies, let in two of them
– once he warmed up he was alright
– Skarek was alright
– it was an AHL game
– our prospect pool is limited. Rags knew that and targeted them
– ross stepped up and did ross things as retribution for that
– we killed the subsequent double minor. PK still good
– if varly didn’t let in the two early softies this woulda been a different game
Personally i’m stoked to see the entire team play, this was the Bridgeport 2021 home opener lineup. They did decent considering.
