Slafkovsky was drafted with an eye to a few years down the road. Those whining that he's a bust need to wake up. He just turned 19 and as much as folks want to gripe he's coming along well and will be a workhorse in time. While we lost 4-2 tonight there was a lot to like about their game. Growing pains are expected. GHG
sorry but Slavkosky must go to Laval Joshua ROY is more NHL ready than slav is. Laval can only help slav in a less stressfull environment. maybe he will improve and i say maybe.?
5 minute gang! GHG and hope to see a better season this year, it will be but I just wanted to say that! 🎉
Assest management is a slow process, patience is required and this is going to take time. This teams defense will look different in 3 years than it will at the start of this year. Goals, no matter who, should always remein private.
Would Stamkos be a good move? Reunited with MSL , old teammates 🤔
anderson with NewHOOK and Pinard on left wing that will be a good working line.
i do not see Slav in the NHL right now. laval would fit his level of redyness at 19. Roy is in advance to slavkosky sorry. may be big 230 pounds but not ready for NHL sorry
It's "number of prospects," not "amount of prospects." You guys do such a great job, and this is such an easy fix.
Slaf is not ready, as a hockey player(not a professional one) I can see that he's missing fundamental pieces to be an nhl player. He's rarely in the right position, hes late on passes, he doesnt keep his head up so he makes wild passes to no one or he gets crushed, etc. The guy will need some serious 1on1 work and may only make an impact in the NHL in like 3-4 years. I see absolutely nothing to tell me otherwise.
Staying hydrated is very important. Pour the contents of your can into a glass or water bottle.Unless someone is paying you to promote there product? You would never see Bob McKenzie drinking a redbull or monster drink on air . I think you guys are very talented, and have bright future. Have respect for yourself and the people who watch your vids. Or just carrying on as you are.
Signed OCD suffer
Should we throw slaf under the bus 😮
Barron and Harris can go. Send em off
I didn't think Guhle was all that good last year and this year so far I am not impressed.I would trade him now before he loses value.Slafkovsky is a bust I never even had him top 20 on my draft list so when they picked him I was like wtf.We should have taken th ebig smooth skating Nemec that year and this year we should have went after several forwards.
We are getting players to build a team! Why Nic and Cole sign 8 for 8. Both could have signed for 4 years and got more $. Those roomers of Coles buddy Zegras,Slaf and Mesar! Brothers Aurber and Flo match! Hughes treats players like the stock market but is a gypsy match maker at same time! ie Lane and Popcorn!!!
I agree with Jesse…they're all mid-level propsects, including Slaf and Engstrom and Reinbacher and Dach and Newhook and Roy. No legitimate 'top-end talent' that projects to possibly be game-changing. Time to package. Thought we might do that for Dubois, but maybe it was better that we didn't. I just know we don't become serious contenders without at least one more seriously elite forward prospect to join Suzuki and Caufield.
It’s just pre season, Slaf will be just find.
Can we just put Mailloux on the wing?
RHP- Mohnny- Loux. 3rd line.
RHP- Evans- Loux. 4th line
(Jake, I love you more than you know, stay and win a cup!)
We got D that play D.
Debate.
Why are we hating our team? We’re no Toronto.
Migotte!
Fans are "pining for the Messiah" as they do with a losing franchise, they want a "star" to bring the cup home. Ovechkin has won one cup in 18 years? It takes a team guys, relax. Slaf is one player.
Build it, and they will come". In 2 years, we'll have a strong team with depth scoring to support the acquisition of top talent and win a cup. Toronto got the top talent first and are paying through the nose to keep them, but lack depth scoring, top defence, goaltending to win. I don't want that to happen here, Hughes is building a young core and lots of trade capital to get it done. Patience gentlemen….
“Bogdanator”
Anyone else having audio issues with the Sportsnet Rds stream ? This is the first time I get this and used it all last season no issues.
All I could hear was audio from the bell center, crowd and music but none of the Commentary
Nineteen year old slafkovsky got put on an NHL team last year , played 39 games and got hurt. It was a little too early for him to be in the NHL. I'll start worrying if he doesn't look like an NHL player by age 22-23.
Montreal has a raft of veterans they need to move. Possible some of their prospects can be moved but I'd concentrate on developing them.
Stay away from Puljujarvi. Lots of chances , no success He's 25 and not really an offensive player. Half a point a game with Edmonton but they don't want him, Carolina didn't want him. Let someone else take a chance on him. He's been bad and had a bad attitude about it.
Trading Romanov was a mistake.
Guys like Ylonen are losing their value.
Yes you can't trade unproven prospects for a center who has scored 60 + points and 23 goals for two years in a row.
Barron was one of bad trade, he can go. Not sure we can even get 3rd.
Why is he going to be good?
Because hes 6foot fn 4?
If he was 5 11 we wouldn't know who he is.
Hes a bust.
It would be nice someday to talk about prospects that can put the puck in the net instead of endless talk about D prospects.
With so many prospects in our pool, I wonder if Hugo will look to a possible offer sheet for an elite scorer. The def prospects look solid for years to come so this may have to be an approach to get that scoring we are currently missing.
Slav will be a 20 to 30 goal scorer relax people.
