New Jersey Devils forward Timo Meier has just changed from #96 back to his old number he had with San Jose, #28.
Damon Severson was wearing #28 when Timo first got here, but Severson’s departure to Columbus left the door open for Timo to claim the #28…and he did!

I liked him in #96, and it’s going to be weird seeing a forward wear #28 after so many years of Severson wearing that number on D, but I’m glad he switched. Last season during game action, it was often hard to tell Jack’s #86 and Timo’s #96 apart as they whizzed by.
