It’s only the preseason, and Calgary played almost their full roster against only a few of our regular players. There are valid reasons to be concerned about this team, but realistically this game should not be one of them.

I know it’s only the preseason, but this score sure does bring that sweet sense of comfort.
The same comfort as that old jacket that your girlfriend tells you is super stinky no matter how many times you wash it.
It’s totally threadbare but you wear it anyways because its the jacket you have worn forever and it has been with you on so many adventures that you couldn’t possibly wear a different one.
Not to mention it seems like an impossible task to find a new candidate to become your old jacket.

The starters were so checked out I heard some of them just went to a bar.

This was basically the Lames calling the Canucks and saying “hey, send us your youth team so they can play our opening roster.”
I think it’s pretty disrespectful that the flames decided to basically play their opening line against a team’s first preseason game.
It was literally the varsity team against the ducks from Mighty Ducks 3. (Before Disney magic made them better in the 3rd act)

Our two best players on the ice were pods and hogs…Why are people even remotely freaking out, I’m more mad that Calgary only scored 10 I figured they could have gotten a dozen easy.
