  1. Yeah he's still playing. Still one of the best, if not the best in the league. We have been spoiled in Pittsburgh. Had Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr in their prime at the same time, then had (and still have) Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang for their entire careers. Even briefly had Lemieux and Crosby playing together, before Mario decided to hang up the skates for good and just be the team owner.

  2. To really understand how good Sid actually is, you have to watch the video “100 best crosby plays” or watch an entire game. He does all the little things. He is defensively solid and makes his teammates better. If you understand hockey, you know why he is considered on of the best even though he doesn’t have as many crazy flashy highlights as mcdavid or ovie. He also was the youngest captain to ever lead a team to a Stanley cup and he scored the golden goal. You should check out Evgeni Malkin. Geno has played with Sid since they were both rookies (pretty much). He could have gone to any other team and been the number one guy, but he decided to stay in Pittsburgh to play with Crosby.

  3. Crosby is 36. He has played his whole career for the Pittsburgh Penguins. He has won 3 Stanly cups and is still playing.

  4. GoPro did a segment with a bunch of NHL players where they strapped a camera to their helmets and one of them was for Crosby and they did "keepaway" drills like the one he did on #6 there. Was super fun to watch.

Also Sidney Crosby's shootout goal was when the NHL introduced the shootout into the game instead of ties. And it was his first in a professional game so it was a huge moment.

  5. Sid's game isn't very flashy, but he does every aspect of the game extremely well. Incredibly smart, great vision, fantastic work ethic. He's also super strong on his skates, protects the puck well, has some moves, good wall work, good at faceoffs, and competitive as hell – he also has one of the best backhand shots of all time. And apparently backhanders are harder for goalies to read coming off the stick. McDavid is faster and has more offense, but I'd still take Crosby's career over what I think McDavid's will turn out to be.

Crosby currently sits at #15 on the all-time scoring list. By the end of next season, he will be in the top 10. If he stays healthy and has the desire to keep playing, he should finish in the top 5. He even has a theoretical chance at top-3. Potentially even top-2. But Gretzky's record is still ridiculously out of reach. Crosby would almost have to double his entire career total to reach Wayne.

  6. To the casual fan, Crosby highlights might not seem as impressive as some other players. But anyone who's played hockey understands why hes the best player of his generation hands down.

  7. You can not do a Top 10 for Crosby, there are simply way too many unbelievable goals in his career.

  8. skill/talent wise pretty good for a top 10 but talking about best sidney crosby moments of all time is missing his golden goal for team canada

  9. I'm incredibly biased because I live just outside of Pittsburgh and have had the absolute blessing of seeing the Penguins win 3 cups in person, going to many regular season and play off games (didn't move to the States till 95) so maybe take this with a grain of salt but…

You've done Mario Lemuiex and now Sid. I would LOVE for you to do their teammates in Jaromir Jagr and Evgeni Malkin. Mario wouldn't have 2 cups without Jagr and Sid wouldn't have his 3 without Malkin. They're two players who, if put into starting line ups of any other team during their eras, they'd be superstar household names. They're the Pippen's to their Jordan's, so to speak.

  10. He will go down as one of the top five NHL players of all time but if you want to see the other side of Crosby search on YouTube for “Crosby my heart will go on”, and do a reaction to that one. Amazing that a player with that much talent can be such a dick.

  11. Can't believe his gold medal winning goal in the Olympics wasn't on this list. Would love for you guys to check out that play + Cale Maker would be a fun reaction. Guy has some incredible highlights

  12. The number 4 play is as much about the context as it is about the goal itself. Crosby became well known in Canada as a teenager, and was quickly being hyped as the next Gretzky. He had just been drafted 1st overall by the Penguins, and was playing against a Canadian team for the first time.

Also 2005-06, Sid’s rookie season, was the first year the NHL started using shootouts to decide games instead of having ties. There had been a lockout the previous year that caused the cancellation of the entire season, so this was a moment that represented a new era for the league

  13. He lived with Mario Lemieux in his rookie season. He started playing around the time Lemieux retired for good

  14. You guys should check out destroying, he does football 1v1s and there pretty entertaining

  15. Crosby is currently a top 10 player of all time, and McDavid has 10 of these highlights every single year..Makes you think, what a talent McDavid is.

That one-handed goal is crazy though, never really seen that before or after.

  16. The number 1 goal is extremely extremely hard to pull off. You need insane forearm and wrist strength to put that much power on that shot.

  17. You've missed his prime but he's still playing and will still pull rabbits out of his hat on occasion. He was so young when he started that even though he's heading into his 19th season, he will still be "only" 36 to start the year.

  18. He still plays to this day and is the best player on his team and still a top 20-30 player in the league going into year 18 and is still elite—just no longer generational like he was for like 12 years or so. He’s without question a top 5 player of all time and is debatably top 3 or so for many people. He was McDavid before McDavid. McDavid idolized him and wears 97 (his birth year) because Crosby wore 87 (his birth year). He’s a 3x Stanley Cup champ.

  19. Crosby did play on the same team as Lemieux, but did not play at the same time as Lemieux.

Earlier in his career, he was awesome, but was also known as "Crybaby" Crosby because he liked to complain quite a bit. He's way more conservative with his complaints. Now that he's a 17-season veteran, as you should, he understands the game way more.

  20. He has better highlights that didn’t make this list. You should watch another compilation

  21. There are probably a few additional plays that he's done since that video was made that are better than what was in it.

  22. People say Ovi does the hardest thing in hockey no disrespect but I’m quoting Adam Wylde but winning is the hardest and that is all Crosbys ever done

  23. I am happy you guys are showing appreciation for his 1 handed wrist shot, I have seen many people react to it but not realize how impressive it is

  24. Jesus saves, then Crosby scores on the rebound. Still around for the mighty Penguins. Remember, the top guys start in the league at 18 years of age
