Time to put the C on Matthews sweater !!! its time he's a man now.
I like Matthews, but these always sound so bloody scripted. I would like to see and hear some emotion, some angst, some regret over the last seven years. The likes of O'Reilly left due to pressure from the media, but I also think that Schenn and RO'R saw a lack of spirit and gumption.
Having said all of that, we brought in guys to make the team tougher, and they all left without doing anything to go after the FLA guys that went after Knies and other players. Here is to hoping that this year, those same types of players will think twice before coming into our barn and taking liberties…hopefully we can go into other barns and be respected.
