I think it's too early to judge and I think as usual a lot of fans are overreacting. The deals are done. This is the team going into the year so we can't change anything now, let's cheer the fellas on and watch them play together as a team before shitting all over everything!
– I think the Sutter and Halak signings are really solid.
– Hamonic obviously got extra cash because RHD are at a premium, he's a warrior and likes it in Van I'm excited to see him in the playoffs.
– Although the Poolman signing seems a little steep as of now I'm going to watch the guy play for us first before anything else. He was a leader on NODAK with Brock, and I'm sure he's motivated to prove himself. $2.5 a year really isn't the worst thing in the world and he's tradeable.
– If we sign Schenn and Hunt then that adds competition and leadership at camp which is never bad.
– Lets see what Brad Shaw can get out of this group.
Love our forwards, love our goalies, a little nervous on D but again until I see them all play I won't bother getting riled up for no reason.
I love the Halak pick up! I would rather have Elder than these other 2 Dman for us. But I don't know much about Poolman. Hamonic is meh imo
Halak/Holtby is a joke over 2 years. 6.9 next year in goal and that's without a backup or Halaks possible bonuses.
Performance bounces can count over the cap at 7.5 present we should be fine
Until Petey and Hughes are signed, this off-season is nothing. Let’s get those done

The only questionable contract I see on the Canucks right now for next year is Myers at $6 million. Pearson I don’t mind at his cap hit as a middle 6 guy, but it could be better. From where the Canucks were a week ago to now is remarkable. It’s like night and day. I love Hamonic, Schenn and Sutter back short term. All perfect for their roles. If the Big 3 can be had long term at a decent cap hit, we’re laughing. But we’re running out of cap space quickly. 17.1 left according to Cap Friendly ATM. Will that get all 3 guys signed? Hope so. But Brock is up at the end of this coming season. If he gets north of $6 mil, and he very well could, we’re in trouble.

What i like the most is all the Benning bashing, lol. Even though he has smashed it out of the park again today getting a super good forth line center and goal tender for next to nothing. He paid Hamonic fair money as he was very good coming back from injury last season back to his old form and in my opinion the Canucks best d-man the rest of year. Schenn, a very serviceable RD for next to nothing, he played great along side Hughes his first season. If one has to find foder for Benning Bashing (the favorite sport of the Canucks ugly whining negativity club), then one would look at the Poolman deal. This is where Jim gets agressive with that signing. He must have watched Winnipeg and seen Poolman's play was trending better, and i agree. At 2.5 mill per, he didn't exactly break the bank on that deal. This team is so much better on paper it's crazy what he has accomplished this week. Now comes the very difficult task for coach Green to assimilate all these new faces into a cohesive unit of Hockey domination. That will be no easy task with all the new faces. I can't wait to see how he does with monumental task. Jim Benning has given the coaching staff all the tools for success, now it is up to the coaches and players to execute.
I'm ok with all of these deals. On paper the Canucks should be better, but… the play on ice is what counts. And of course, making the playoffs. If that doesn't happen, all bets are off.
Poolman deal is questionable wtf. But benning shored up the right side. Now lots of depth. Abbotsford looking stacked as well. Now to concentrate on petey and hughes deal

They Sucks wasted of caps space washed up players Missed the playoffs next season Halek worse than Holtby Benn Harmonic to slow Sutter man Land most nights This team so stupid so many other players out there ,any still resigned these washed up players.
Right defense slow Myers Benn Harmonic poolman Abbasford Halek washed up Worse then last year Defense sucks no caps after Pettersson and Hughes .
Add more washed up players this never ends Canucks made me a Headache
Halek replace Holtby even worse OEL Edler Benn Harmonic are too old and slow missed the post Sutter no man Land all that wasted of caps same team missed the playoffs again .

Poolman 1 point in 39 games last year.. also his corsi isn’t the greatest. So he’s not putting up points or defending above average. Can only really go up from here… let’s hope…
I'd love to be wrong but I think Pooleman was an overpay. Liking everything else though, more or less.
i like hamonic too.. his first few strides acceleration is noticeable… he seems to give 100 % every night
I give up. 31st ranked D after today. Just awful.
