In an interview recently, Dylan Strome of the Chicago Blackhawks noted his RFA status, and the uncertainties on whether or not he will be a member of the Blackhawks organization for next season.

Earlier in the year, Elliotte Friedman noted on WGR Sport Radio 550 in Buffalo that Dylan Strome was indeed on the trade block, for reasons relating to his RFA status and the cap context of the Blackhawks as a whole.

Strome, a former top pick from the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, played alongside of Connor McDavid and Alex DeBrincat in the OHL for the Erie Otters.

  1. I mean with the Lehner Saad panarin etc Bowman doesn't have best track record or just getting all the deals done he's suspetible to trading them instead of losing him & with cap not increasing we don't have a lot of room

  2. I'm no Oilers fan but I'd like to see him reunited with Mcdavid. They were great in Erie.

  3. I just don’t understand why Stan Bowman picked up so many left handed defensemen last summer. Our defensive prospect pool is decent enough in my opinion. Give some of those guys a chance for some playing time. At some point these kids have to get exposed to some fire. Still excited for the future of Chicago even though right now it’s seems kinda gloomy at times.

  4. I’m sorry but Detroit isn’t gonna be good for three years at least so why would he sign there? Sabres need a 2nd line center and will be a play-off team next season just make the trade.

  5. Ey Craig Rivet is my cousin, was captain for buffalo and Montreal 👍🏻👍🏻

  6. Strome was really good at the end of the season playing with nylander and kane, and that was able to benefit nylander as well. Nylander is a guy who has great potential and strome is helping to bring out that potential. In addition, Strome also has a ton of potential and the Blackhawks no that. I definitely think we will resign him.

  7. Stromes bad at face offs and is slow but dammit he has some great chemistry with that 5’9 snipercat so I would keep him…he’s only “expendable” because Dach will likely fill the 2C role in the next season or so…but also JC doesn’t know how to put a line together and Bowman likes to trade RFAs for nothing so who knows

  8. I can’t see CHI moving him when they need Centers. Dach was drafted over Byram is an example of their lack of C depth. If moved, it’ll be for picks outside the division to a competitive team he’ll extend. I believe MTL, CAR, NYI and CLB as the most likely choices.

  9. I always thought Dylan Strome was a younger version of John Tavares, and that he could revive the dynasty in Chicago.

  10. Strome's underlying numbers are really bad. Have to think that one great season with Chicago had a lot to do with who he was playing with.

  11. Lego enjoy the work put in to youtube show. Speculate what is a non prohibitive cost? For example Kings have cap space. Would a 2 and 3 be enough for Strome?

  12. Not sure if Detroit is ready to add a veteran center, Ras and Veleno have to get their time on ice soon.
If they both are not up to it, Strome is a perfect answer.

  13. I hope buffalo goes for him and trades casey mittelsatt and maybe Mojo for him

  14. As a Hawks fan, I'm now used to being fucked by the cap. I mean, obviously a cap is good, but if we didn't have a cap, so many moves made because of cap would not have been made, and we'd probably keep Strome, we'd still have tuevo and panarin, so I guess I'm just used to having to trade people because of cap reasons and it can be frustrating, because I LOVE Strome, yet we might have to trade him

  15. Him and McDavid are best buddies from Junior, Id be happy to see him in an Oilers uni it seemed like he got shafted.

  16. There’s a lot wrong with your video that Friedman bit has been debunked so many times that you’d have to be a clown to still treat it as a legitimate trade runor

  17. It's hard to tell what Chicago and Dylan Strome are up to. It appears that The Chicago Blackhawks have A Big Salary Cap Issue, especially after Trading For Marc Andre Fleury Salary and Trading For Seth Jones and Signing Him to a Huge Contract (the allowing The Detroit Red Wings to Sign Former Chicago Blackhawks Pius Suter, who had a Good Season, rather than lock him up is Evidence of this). Therefore, it might be that Chicago is Waiting and Seeing if A Team gives Dylan Strome An Offer Sheet before Chicago decides to Match It or not.
