No Bedard is not shocking, especially with the Wild being notoriously dirty in these tournament games recently, but I’m a little surprised at Kaiser not playing.
Maybe I am reading too much into this right now, but do we think this means Kaiser is considered more of a lock for a roster spot to start the season? He looked good last year in both the AHL/NHL and has been getting glowing reviews since the start of this year’s camp, including a very good game yesterday while wearing the ‘C’.
Seems like a great sign to me if the organization has already seen what they need from him!
Doesn’t sound Connor Bedard or Wyatt Kaiser will play for the Blackhawks today.

I’m glad bedard isn’t playing. It was great to see him play yesterday but I was kind of worried about somebody headhunting him so I have no problem with him being gone. Also gives the other prospects more room to shine.
I get it, and it makes sense, but after that Bears game, I wanted to watch some Bedard.
Lardis is looking nice though.
Kaiser definitely looked above the competition. I initially thought he had a good chance to be on the roster at the end of last season, then came around to the idea that they’d take the Vlasic route with him, but now I again feel like he’s at the front of the pack of the rookie d-men to make the team. I originally didn’t think they’d do it, but I’m starting to feel like there’s a chance Zaitsev could spend some time in the minors this year
Kaiser should be a lock. He didn’t look out of place last year.
