Bedard might be able to handle the pressure of being hyped up like he is being but it could also backfire on them too if he ends up being a bust I mean its unlikely but you never know.

I get Chicago lost Toews and Kane this past season, but do they really not have one guy to be a temporary face of the team? Why not Perry? Idk I just feel off about giving so much fluff and pressure to a first year, 18 year old kid. I get that he is a generational talent, and there is no doubt he’ll be Chicago’s next captain (assuming they go captain-less going forward), but yeah just let the kid play for a year or two before jumping the captain gun.
