After a long time away from the rink, Zach Parise is (hopefully) coming home to the Rock very soon. Inspired by the MSG commercials for Carmelo Anthony.
200 million dollars on two players AHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA in 5 years you guys will run into cap issues and when backstrom's contract is up you won't be able to resign him, meaning you will suck. and the wild will not win a cup. enjoy 'em.
@bmqcoltsfan1 what cap issues? Backstrom, Bouchard & Cullen come off the books next yr as free agents (unless they are traded) There's NO WAY Backstrom comes back, unless he takes a pay cut. I'm a Wild fan & I really wanted Parise to stay in NJ…
I should of bet money on that signing. Anyways, I take that you haven't heard of Harding, Hackett, or Kuemper. Backstrom is turning 35 this year with one year left on his contract. I'm not worried about Backstrom. Besides, Koivu, Suter, and Parise are the only players signed long term. Also, 200 million on two players. Yes, it's alot, however, Kovalchuk is one player and he signed for 100 million which was a huge middle finger to Parise for coming off a 48 goal season.
Well, good luck to the Devils and the Wild. I've read the comments and am a little disappointed. Gaborik left and I didn't mind much. He gave the Wild alot and I was grateful. Hopefully people can do the same for Parise because he gave so much for the Devils.
i hear ya, but none of those goalies are proven, nor have any played in a single playoff game. kovalchuk was not a middle finger to parise, kovy was meant to make parise a better player, and i believe playing with each other helped them both. kovy signed for 100 mill, but also for 2 more years so his deal looks like a bargain now.

i know plenty about hockey and have watched parise for 7 years. he's not worth the money he's getting. you'll see.
he's not worth any more than 6 million a year. you will see. that's all i will say.
Take this off. He's not a Devil anymore. He's off to lose in Minnesota.

hahaha have fun losing without him
yeah he is coming home, to minnesota, where the fans actually know something about hockey, instead of just knowing about steroids and fake tans.
Bandwagon alert.
HAHAHAHAHA PARISE NHL #1 STAR LAST NIGHT WITH THE WILD AND ONLY GETTING BETTER.
This aged well.
