Hopefully a better defense will aid Jarry in having a better game this season. He's been and still is my big question mark.
I think the defensive additions (and subtractions) will also add to not just the puck being in our superstar forwards' hands more but will also help alleviate some of the defensive pressure with reduced time in our own zone. If I recall, EK65 led the league in offensive zone puck touches by a defenseman (not surprisingly) last year.
Throwing that wrench into the mix and not only giving the opponent another offensively gifted d-man to worry about but also filling the cracks in the concrete of last years defense hopefully reduces high danger chances in our zone and gives Jarry a bit more confidence. Will be great for Tanger to have another minute muncher too. You guys touched on the transition game and that's probably what I'm most excited to see with this roster this season. LGP 🐧
