Weeger is definitely a top 10 defenseman any team would be happy to have. Calgary has to be commended for salvaging what was a literal worst case scenario for a franchise. Not sure who will win the trade, but at the end of the day Florida got the best player in the trade according to the numbers.

I’ve lived and worked in Calgary and Denver. I call Calgary Denver lite. Athough Calgary is a cleaner city with a much nicer downtown. Both cities are cold.
One thing I am noticing with Tkuchuk. People are mistaking this 100 point season as the normal. It was only a season before last where the Flames fans wanted Tkuchuk traded. I think Florida will need to lower there expectation to 75pts as a good year. Tkuchuk brings other elements though that makes him a star.
