Nice Win, but sorry i wasnt impressed with the Defensive Zone coverage. Play like that in Boston on Saturday and the winning streak will be over as the Sabres will get killed !
Speaking of defence was Bryson injuried in the 3rd period or was he benched after that BRUTAL GIVEAWAY on Detroits 1st goal , because correct me if im wrong but he never played another shift after that goal. Me thinks , he got benched !

We've got a really good team…and it's just the beginning. They're still young, so there will be more bumps ahead, but nobody wants to play the Sabres now. Some teams are feared because they're big and physical. The Sabres skate you to death. The Red Wings were sucking wind a lot tonight. Big game coming up.

It was sold out. It said on the jumbo tron. It was a fun game. I think everyone just needed to get out after being stuck inside for almost 5 days. I'm glad I went to this one. It was a fun game.

I'm glad that the lay off didn't affect them unduly and they held out. UPL looked decent again which can only help his confidence. The irony of scoring heavily in the goat Jersey is that during the decade Buffalo wore them they were renowned for low scoring and relying on Hasek. Maybe the spirit of the 06 team is still within them. 😋

Why do the Buffalo sabres let teams push us around in third periods on the run
UPL was solid from the start, making point blank saves early on. Sooner or later, some of those will go in. The Sabre's, again, took their foot off the gas in the third period. That must be the coach, wanting his players to learn how to shut a game down in the third, and with a big lead.
Scoring all these goals is terrible! We need to score 1 goal and play trap all game long putting fans to sleep like NJ did in 90s-2000s.

Sorry but I'm not an Okposo fan, I think he's a bum and pulled the wool over managements eyes. Clearly, Tuch should be the captain, he's proven he deserves it on and off the ice, in just one year. Don't jump on the Okposo bandwagon because he got lucky and got a hat trick for once in a blue moon. I hope I'm wrong but I don't believe I am.
It's cool Sabres been having great games in the black and reds but it's not like they haven't had those same types of performances in the blue and golds. I just think we have a really good young team that knows how to find the back of the net especially against weaker teams.
I know the third period was rough, but this was a great win for the community. Great job by the Sabres bringing a little joy to the people of Buffalo. Happy New Year to you all.
