Travis Green has announced that Josh Leivo will be out of the Vancouver Canucks lineup for 2-3 months, after a hit from Nick Holden of the Vegas Golden Knights a few nights ago. With this being the case, let’s talk about what’s coming up next for Vancouver, as they have a multitude of options to replace him, from Loui Eriksson, to Sven Baertschi, to Nikolay Goldobin, to Reid Boucher.

Reid Boucher is the leading scorer in the AHL but this would be a good time to get Kole Lind, Lukas Jasek, and Zach MacEwen more NHL games. I suspect Zach will be in the NHL for the entirety of Leivo's injury stint but I'd love to see Jasek and Lind get opportunities to play in the next two months. Lind has 25 points in 30 games and Jasek, though his point totals aren't high, seems really well suited for a third line NHL role.
Im hoping Baertschi comes back up. He has chemistry with Gaudette and has had chemistry with Bo in the past.
Re the disclaimer about being mean to holden: it's incredible that dirty hits are so routine the discussion is centered around the "correct" reaction players, fans, and media should have to what shouldn't be a regular occurence
