  1. wait, they counted it? i thought your stick legally wasnt allowed to be down liek that? or is that just NHl?

  2. oh, i knew that but i thought that it had to be like not perpendicular or somethin…..oh well

  3. pretty sick but there is so much controversy if its illegal or not come on ref's its a sick move!!!

  4. @sebbeks yes but as its is tough as hell to do. all it takes is a stick to knock the puck off. but as you see his two teamates had thier guys tied off. would be near impossible to do in the nhl unless it was fluent while circling the net.

  5. @mattevanswastaken hehe yeah, i saw mikael backlund, calgary forward, trying it at the world championship this year against latvia (or belarus?). it didn't go in but it hit the goalie mask, haha it was pretty funny

  6. Crosby may have copied, but I do not ever hear people calling this " The Crosby move." I've heard it referred to as the Michigan move every time.

  7. @tom91775 I didn't really question the legality of the move, just how you stated that if someone can do it in a game situation, they are better than you.

  8. @tom91775 Not really in traffic, but behind the net, like Legg did, only on the PP as the D-men won't chase then. And yes, I agree to that first part.

the better way to do it, IIHF WC semifinal FIN-RUS and Mikael Granlund

  10. this guy does this move and gets a sportscentre replay for a day and gets no recognition. crosby does this and gets a sportscentre replay for a year and gets the move named after him

  11. He may not have gotten recognition personally, but the move did and IS to this day know as "the michigan". After that goal, you could see players of all ages, ice & roller attempting to score like that all across the country. So at least he could say," hey that's my shit right there lol"

  12. The technique of Mike Leg is different as what we know as "the michigan". Everyone first push the puck down, pull the stick back and take it up. Mike Leg instantly took it up in this video.

  13. A little background on the origin of this move; A guy named Bill Armstrong ivented it while playing in the AHL. He scored with it four times in one season while with Albany and has even done it in consecutive games. He used to practice with Mike Legg who later pulled it off in a big televised game, thus garnering all the notariety, but Legg was quick to credit Armstrong with the idea after the game. Ironically, Bill had done the move successfully just the day before. Now you know.
