Trenholm Ties it with 2.5 Seconds Remaining at The Brick!!

After opening losses of 3-0 and 4-0 at the 2013 Brick Invitational Super Novice Hockey Tournament, Team Pennsylvania found themselves down 1-0 to the Saskatchewan Jr. Pats in their third game of the tournament with 29 seconds to play. After a turnover, a big backcheck, and a close call on our empty net, we re-gain control of the puck with 12 seconds left and rush down the ice for one last chance. Ty Voit passes to Oscar Plandowski in the neutral zone, who drops the puck to Connor Trenholm in the slot, and he buries the game-tying goal with 2.5 seconds left to play!

We ultimately lost the game in a shootout, but this was one of the most exciting moments of the tournament and a huge turning point for our team.

Easily my most exciting moment as a hockey parent!!!

  1. Way to go Connor. #28 saved the open net goal with that rear check to the ice. Props to a good team effort all around. 🙂
