I've been saying for a couple years now. The Penguins PP hasn't been the same since Kessel left.
Pittsburgh has been missing a PPQB RH shot for a long time. Their PP besides Letang is all LHS.
This makes it easier to defend one side of the ice.
When you have a RHS upfront it totally changes all the angles and makes it harder for the PK to defend
All good points, but the whole thing is helped by actually shooting the puck, which, god bless them, they seem allergic to doing. Maybe Karlsson helps.
With the addition of EK 65, there is no reason they shouldn't be a top PP unit. Quit looking for the perfect goal just SHOOT!!!!
Make 1 or 2 passes, and take a shot. Between Sid, Geno, Tanger, and EK, you couldn't pick one over the other. If they're looking for the better man to take the shot, they'd never shoot.
Love the idea! If the Penguins are successful on the PP other teams will be afraid to take penalties.
Get Malkin off the power play he's old slow and clumsy mishandling and turning over the puck on power plays
