Rick Tocchet. All the mentioned players will help big time. Canucks make the playoffs easily.
Fights and hits get the players on the bench pumped up ! not to mention the fans and decuple level of the building. Soucey should be a steady dman who hits n fights making the most impact. Goals are nice but fights n hits wake the team up and set the tone of the game.
I would have to say it would probably be between Suter and Soucy. Defence is an issue and toughness. Could be completely wrong and be any of these players. There was a bunch of holes to fill in the lineup. The new guys fill most of them. I hope they all do great. Takes the stress off of other players when everything is running like a well oiled machine. Have to knock on wood.
The Canucks need The D side of their game to be better. lt was not their 3rd and 4th lines that hurt them last year, it was in their team defence that was their issue. Now they have new guys that may bring some more D to their game… Suter should help them on both sides, so that may make him the most impactful. Will it stop the top line from no look passing for a breakaway going the other way? Not likely. That will be Tocchet and company's impact on this team! Lets have some team structure & ACCOUNTABILITY!
I find it strange that blueger was signed and promised to be our 3rd line centre, and then suter was signed a few weeks later which will drop blueger down to the 4th line. How would you feel if you were blueger?
Soucy suter Defense of team can shutdown fast team now youth needs to stepped up now no excuses right Shot Defense is slow one more offense of Defense or two Mcward
Cole.
So Cole racks up a lot of penalty minutes, but HOW are those penalty minutes coming around eh Clay?
Me personally, I lean more towards playing Cole with Hughes, as I think one of Wolanin or Irwin makes the team out of camp over Juulsen, making more sense to play them on their natural side with Myers on the 3rd pair, because yeah, the Hronek/Soucy 2nd pair seems like a lock
I think Blueger is the best penalty killer in the league, so it's good that he isn't going to have any pressure on him to put up any notable amount of offense
My expectations for Hronek are to be at minimum an ABOVE AVERAGE 2ND PAIR defender. You read that right, not necessarily a top pair guy, but an ABOVE AVERAGE 2nd pair defenseman, as he's currently being paid as much, and if he doesn't have an overly spectacular season, it will at least limit what he can ask for on his next contract, but he'll at least still pose as a good fit on the back end and bring a satisfactory amount of utility overall
Mikhaiev is my pick 😆 him and Hronek will be our biggest additions that we seen so little of last year – the definitely might as well be on this list
