Igor Shesterkin PISSED after getting pulled from game IN THE MIDDLE OF OT🤬

  1. For anyone who doesn’t want to do research, here’s what happened :
They pulled Igor with 40 seconds left in OT due to concussion protocol, 2 to 3 minutes after he was hit to the head. He shook up a little bit but he was definitely good enough to keep playing. There were only a few minutes between when he was taken off the ice and when he came back on before the shootout started. I would imagine that the concussion check up isn’t exactly simple and easy, so I doubt they even did it at all. I think they just put him back on the ice because they knew we would lose with Georgiev in the shootout. The medical staff can prolly get fined or even suspended badly for this, fingers crossed it doesn’t become a big thing but we might hear about this more in the future.

  2. That rule is really dumb in a way. If the player feels, and knows that he's completely fine, what's the point of taking him out of the game? Especially a goalie?

  3. I am loving the passion in this team I haven't felt this since 94 LGR …..

And also by the way if you watch IGOR enough you know that he blinks all the time like that…..

  4. I agree that this should happen in the middle of the game to avoid additional injury… However, no additional injury would happen in 40 seconds or in the shootout.

  5. Genuine question that I always wonder about with things like this.. what would've happened had he outright refused to leave the ice? I imagine people will say something along the lines of delay of game.. but do we know that? Is there any communication between team representatives and on-ice officials? Let's say he's willing to take the penalty in this instance, anything but giving up his net… then what? I guess I'm wondering if they can literally force a player out of his own free will or if the theatrics of it all are enough for these guys to cooperate.

  6. Could you imagine though he didn't get checked and died as the result of a concussion, what that would mean for hockey?

  7. But now the NY rangers are facing fines for not following confusion protocol that's what you get for flopping

  8. Concussion protocol callers are non-hockey fans who are back-ground checked harder than Secret Service agents. Most are drawn from knitting and soap-carving circles. They don't favor one team over another and receive constant peer review on all in-game calls.

  9. Concussions are a concern, no doubt, but holy crap, it's going absurdly far. Soon we'll be having to go into protocol everyone we do a facepalm for something like this video.

  10. I’ve been through concussion protocol a few times. If you’re not concussed you can breeze through the questions pretty quick. I’m sure him being pissed off helped speed the process along as well.

  11. I am super new to hockey but it has been love at first sight with it and with the Rangers. This here is what made me fall in love with Igor.

  12. They should have pulled this slimy piece of shit after the dive yesterday on Perry. He acted like Perry took his head off.

  13. Igor no leave! Igor kill everyone before leave!
(minutes after promised big Napoleon cake)
Ok. Igor leave but be back June for big cup.

  14. This is what happens when leagues are sued for concussions from retired players. Can't have it both ways.
