Philadelphia Flyers forward Brayden Schenn takes a long shot that somehow beats Islanders goalie Jaroslav Halak with 2.1 second for the GWG in regulation.
I wish I could like this video a thousand times. Nothing is as sweet as an Islander defeat. This Ranger fan loves the Flyers when they play either the Isles or the Pens. Nice win, guys!
Islanders beat the flyers 3 times with Halak but flyers won the next two games I rememeber that game islanders had like four games left needed one point to make playoffs and flyers had 4-1 lead Halak was actual playing good that game flyers where just pounding with like 8min left the game we scored 3 goals tieing the game flyer fans where upset all of sudden 2.1 seconds the worst fluke goal I ever seen catching Halak just sleeping in the net right before playoffs Halak played so well but after all star break he had slight injury missed about few weeks hockey when he came back he wasn't same goalie he was during all star break this goal was the best thing that happen to him cos after he lost this game he lifted his game up realized he wasn't playing at his best he started to play amazing again Islanders Almost had home ice advantage in playoffs winning several games in a row this one point cost them that home ice advantage with that being said islanders Hamonic wound up getting hurt in islanders win over penguins and losing hamonic who was our best player going into the playoffs he was scoring game winners on powerplays and killing penalties off the loss of hamonic and this one point cost us in playoffs I truly believe if hamonic wasn't hurt we had capitals and Rangers beat could of even possibly beat Tampa and play Blackhawks in playoffs anyway would of should of could of
The best part about this is all the islanders had to do was take it to OT and they'd be guaranteed a playoff spot that night. They eventually did get in but this was hilarious when it happened.
I’m here again bc the flyers handed it to my boys again at the end of this regular season and I predict it will be the difference at the end of the year

Islanders finished tied in points with Washington that season, but lost the tiebreaker, and ended up losing game 7 on the road. Every save matters.
