  1. That Giroux prediction is atrocious, so what if he's 35? Reminds me of when Sid Seixerio said Crosby wasn't in his top 30 players in the league because he thought he was too old.

  2. I think Chabby stays healthy and plays over 70 games this year… less minutes per game will help that a lot.. no way he gets less than 40 points… probably closer to 50

  3. Why does ESPN try to guess the amount of games played for these? Why cant they just predict what the player could do over 82 games for everyone?

  4. I think their model that they used to get these projections is a little wonky. How do they figure Josh Norris misses 14 games when he has only had shoulder injuries (as far as I know)? Seems like the model is low balling his games played just based on how much time he missed with the shoulder issues. If he continues to have shoulder issues, he will miss a lot more than 14 games. If he doesn't continue to have shoulder issues, there is nothing in his history to suggest that he is likely to miss 14 games.

Same thing with Batherson, the model probably sees that he missed a bunch of time at one point but its not smart enough to distinguish between 1 off injuries and a pattern of injuries.

Oof now I'm at Giroux and their model is falling apart lol. Leave it to ESPN to do something half assed.

  5. How's Edmonton treating you Brennan? Stoked for this season boys. We have a group going to the Sens and Oilers game this season buddy you should come.

  6. Yeah these projections are a miss… No tarasenko (were these projections made without him on the lineup?) and almost everyone doing worse, I could see a few guys taking a step back but come on, talent is spread out across 3 lines now and defence quality is better but everything falls apart? Doesn't quite add up to me.

  7. I’m feeling good about chabot this year, big bounce back year he’s hitting 50+ points this year.
