I actually knew him while he was playing in Detroit. He was dating a friend of mine. Honestly a super nice guy at the time and he treated her very well after he moved to Dallas. I hear a lot of shit in the media but I take it with a grain of salt based on my interactions with him.

Sean Avery was trying to get any edge he could, he’d obviously say anything, do anything to antagonize people. One of his strategies was he’d watch the other team as they were entering the Joe and make fun of the guys who dressed poorly. He was on the bench (next to hull) and was making fun of the suit Joe had on that day. Hull told him to shut the fuck up and respect “Mr. Sakic”
